We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Corporate Actuary to join our Planning & M&A team within the Actuarial & Capital Management function.

The role


This is an exciting new role supporting the Life Co FD and Corporate Dev Team with MI, projects and M&A.

As our new Corporate Actuary you are technically strong and an excellent communicator.

You will liaise with SMEs across the business to produce Solvency, Risk, Expense and Liquidity information to support the Life FD at Boards and Exco.

As well as being involved in the MI you will be expected to provide support to strategic, regulatory, capital and liquidity projects.


What are we looking for?
We are looking for a qualified Actuary with the following skills and aspiration:

  • Desire to develop professional knowledge in an environment of fast-moving regulatory change.
  • Willing to develop commercial understanding to ensure actuarial and technical advice meets business needs.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and quality standards as defined by management team.
  • Adapt to, and build meaningful working relationships within, new environments, including other parts of the Group.
  • Identify and grasp quickly key areas of business knowledge required, issues and drivers in placement area to make early impact and contribution.
  • Build knowledge of company, propositions, services, strategy and also wider industry context.
