Finance Assistant-Mansfield - £24,000 - £26,000


An exciting client who is experiencing rapid growth is keen to recruit a finance assistant to their growing finance team at their site in Mansfield.

This role is a terrific role for someone who is keen to gain experience of working with a range of finance duties, such as month end processes and working to produce reports.

This role will offer several interesting challenges with a mixture of transactional and analytical accounting functions. This role will offer the chance for career progression and the chance to work in a cutting-edge industry.

This role would be well suited to someone who is currently studying and would like to build on their existing experience.

Finance Assistant Responsibilities:


  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Assist the Head of Finance with month end duties (journals, prepaids & accruals, P&L and Balance sheet reconciliation)
  • Cap-Ex data collection
  • Control of Fixed Asset register and posting of monthly depreciation
  • Processing the payment runs
  • Help to improve the finance function to promote improvements and controls
  • Support with internal & external audits
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Credit card postings
  • Daily analysis reports
  • Administration duties
  • Ad hoc duties when required

Hours:

Working hours are Monday to Friday


Required Skills & Experience:


  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent excel skills would be seen as essential
  • Good attention to detail
  • AAT Level 4 or ACCA/CIMA PQ
  • Works well in a team and also work independently
