Manchester


Location of work:
WFH Hybrid Model - 2 days a week working from home


The company:

our client is a privately owned, British company who develop, design and manufacture their industry leading products on site in their Manchester based offices.

They make a host of electromechanical devices that are manufacturedin large numbers and sold around the globe.


Skills and Experience Required:


  • Autodesk Inventor and Vault packages
  • 3D mechanical Design
  • Metals and Plastics
  • Injection Moulding
  • Designing enclosures for electronic circuits

The Role:

An exciting position has now been created for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Engineering teams as they continue to grow.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be reporting directly to the TechnicalDirector and be tasked with designing the mechanical design element of their new product range whilst working closely within an Engineering team made up with engineers of mixed disciplines including software, electronics, production and test.


You will be familiar with the Autodesk suite and ideally have experience with Inventor and Vault and have extensive experience with 3D design for both metals and plastics.

You will be working closely with other engineering departments towards complete electro-mechanicalproducts so experience designing enclosures for electronic circuits is a must.

You will have strong experience with mechanical modelling and simulation, designing machined and cast metal components and injection moulding.


Desirable Skills and Experience:


  • Epicor ERP experience
  • Design of handheld electronic equipment
  • Knowledge of test and measurement equipment
