Our client stands as a global leader in construction and infrastructure technology that works with government authorities, asset owners, construction companies, and design offices to support their infrastructure projects.

Absolutely huge business, they'veexpanded into over 50 countries worldwide.

Their 3 main capabilities out geotechnics (rock and soil anchor systems), post tensioning (load bearing systems) and lifespan management (maintenance).

They are seeking an IT manager on a 20 month FTC for their team based in Bury.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and designing IT-related activities for the UK region as well as provide administrative direction andsupport for daily operational activities.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Benchmark, analyse, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the UK IT infrastructure and IT systems including global IT systems Input.
  • Oversee provision of enduser services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision
  • Manage the purchase, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware as well as associated software and network maintenance.
  • Act as a project manager for small to medium sized IT infrastructure and Business System projects

Key Skills:


  • Preferably have previously worked as an IT Manager within an international business with a strong IT Operational and/or manufacturing background.
  • Security experience
  • Experience managing staff and teams both directly and in virtual project environments.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, BI and machine integrations, specifically Dynamics NAV, SharePoint, Teams, Teams Voice, other core Microsoft products such as Azure.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products at expert level.
  • Significant Telecoms experience, preferable VoIP and/or Unified Communications (Teams Skype for Business etc).
