Description

To be a supportive member of the admin team, responsible and accountable for ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient administrative services.


  • To provide Appraisal and Supervision of junior admin staff in line with Trust policy
  • To provide support to and deputise for the Admin mangers as necessary.
  • To support MHWT's managers and senior clinical staff with team business, including minutetaking, performance reports and general team admin tasks.
  • To complete oneoff or ongoing admin projects as requested by managers.
The post holder will provide a responsive and efficient administrative service to meet the needs of the team.

The post holder will use their reason, intellect and judgement to work on their own initiative to deal with matters on behalf of the admin managers and wider MHWT managers and clinical leads.


The post holder will be an effective decision maker, who is able to prioritise own workload whilst responding to interruptions.

The post holder will be able to deal with unpredictable work patterns and proactively deal with issues without reference to others.

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.

All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.

As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.

The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177 per annum pro rata).
