Mechanical Design Engineer - Salary £28,000 - £40,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits

Based:
West Sussex

Our client is a global expert in the design and supply of mechanical engineering equipment into the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and Energy Industries.

We are searching for a
Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience of working with mechanical engineering CAD drawing, and good
SolidWorks experience.

You will be joining a dynamic business and a great supportive team.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for problemsolving and finding solutions to sometimes complex design problems
Providing concept drawings of proposed solutions using
AutoCAD and Solidworks:
Explaining technical solutions to nontechnical customers
Producing 3D designs, 2D assembly and detail drawings, including parts list and costing
Liaising with manufacturing Engineers to ensure parts can be manufactured
Liaising with the design team in Malaysia and with Project Engineers on projects
Preparation of RFQ's, production tickets and first article approval forms
Providing technical assistance to other members of staff
Research new materials and methods of development
Organise and maintain existing engineering records
Utilising TEKLA for the structural design

Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical engineering CAD design
:

Good
AutoCAD and
Solidworks experience gained in a practical environment
A practical technical background relevant to the position
Attention to detail and willingness to complete projects, impeccable attention to detail
Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
Use specialised software to create models and drawings of products
