Night Shift Operations Supervisor

Location:
Bury St Edmunds


Salary: 41k plus benefits

Reed Procurement & Supply Chain are proud to be working with a high-class container haulage company. Who operate over 50 owned vehicles across all UK Ports. They pride themselves on their customer portfolio gained through their experience and flexible approach.

What is involved?

  • Updating customers with any service issues
  • Calling out fitters or suppliers for overnight maintenance issues ensuring the most cost effective solution while ensuring total compliance and adherence to legislation
  • Welcoming agency drivers and assisting with inductions and ensuring relevant compliance checks are completed
  • Assisting with the briefing and debriefing of drivers and days team
  • Updating of all relevant systems
  • Ensuring the security of the depot is maintained and health and safety guidelines are followed
Key Skills Needed

  • Have experience working within a busy transport office
  • Have a high level of communication skills with the ability to build excellent relationships with drivers, suppliers, customers and team mates
  • Be able to problem solve and possess some traffic planning skills
  • Be able to operate systems such as Destin8, TOP's, Port VBS systems.
