Job Purpose


A Consultant at Impactt in the UK is a critical role in delivering positive change for our clients and for workers across the globe.

A consultants' main purpose is to deliver impactful consulting projects for clients across numerous sectors and countries and addressing a range of human rights issues.

You will support the growth of the business efforts by representing Impactt
externally and identifying opportunities for further projects.


What you will do


Work closely with clients and their partners to 'diagnose' human rights risks in their operations and value chains and advise on solutions.

Deliver human rights assessments, investigations and similar work at the sites of clients and their partners.


Think creatively to develop innovative solutions to difficult issues, working closely with colleagues in particular the Quality and Technical team.


Understand a client's need and, working with others, develop a scope of services which will address this need and deliver positive results for clients and workers.

Draft high-quality, insightful and clear reports and proposals which clearly explain the project approach and findings

Deliver advice and support directly to clients through leading presentations, workshops and training.

Draft project budgets and resourcing plans in line with the projects' methodology.

Identify opportunities to grow Impactt's relationship with existing clients and support colleagues to convert these into further projects.


We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Working experience in, and a passion for, human rights, sustainability, ethical trade/sustainable sourcing, social compliance, investigations or similar.
  • A curious and determined mindset to really understand and solve problems.
  • Experience of working with clients in a professional setting, ideally in consulting or legal settings.
  • Solid project management experience
  • Great ability to analyse situations, develop solutions and implement changes as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • The ability to empathise and quickly build trusting relationships.
  • Proactivity and initiative, and the ability to work autonomously and escalate where needed.
  • A degree or equivalent academic qualification.
