Are you a CIPS qualified Buyer/Purchaser seeking a challenging and exciting role to really make a difference and become a part of a highly innovative and growing business?

You will have full autonomy with responsibility for the purchasing process from supplier selection, supplier management and pricing through to delivery.

You will work in partnership with production and sales departments to provide complete buying support that helps convert sales and deliver quality compliant products to leading UK food companies.

This is office based full-time position (40hrs/week, Monday-Friday)


Key Responsibilities;

  • All purchasing for the business to include food ingredients, packaging materials, office supplies, equipment etc.
  • Managing all supplier selection utilising your skill to negotiate best prices/payment terms and deals from the suppliers.
  • Raising and sending purchase orders and advising production on delivery timescales and stock availability.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained for production and warehouse, replenishing stock as needed
  • Update MRP system parts and supplier records.
  • Chase back orders to ensure delays are kept to a minimum
    .
  • Reporting all supply problems to production, operations and warehouse managers
  • Researching and sourcing of products and materials.
  • Proactively manage costs, in line with required budgets.
  • Monitor supplier performance

To succeed in this role you will be;

  • Ideally CIPS Level 2 Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations or a recognised purchasing qualification.
  • Well organised, articulate and result orientated in a fast pace environment.
  • Good understanding of supply chain and the procurement of manufactured products to high quality standards for reputable UK companies nationwide.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills to liaise at all levels across multiple departments.
  • A natural team player with the confidence to make things happen and create lasting business relationships.
  • Good working knowledge of stock management systems, Excel, Word and other Microsoft Programs.

Salary:
£30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
