What is the role?
Blackpool Council's Employment Specialists work alongside Lancashire and South Cumbria Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) teams.

Clients with mental health support needs, who are seeking paid employment, are referred from the EIP to the Council. All clients receive ongoing support from the EIP.


As an Employment Specialist, you will deliver individual, person centred, advice and guidance and work towards securing clients work with matched employers.

You will be joining an experienced and growing team located across the Lancashire area.


How will you do this?

  • Meet and support clients to understand their key skills, aspirations and goals, and provide an action plan towards obtaining sustainable employment.
  • Source job opportunities for clients through tailored job searching and developing contact and relationships with local employers.
  • Build relationships with the EIP clinical teams to encourage referrals and maintain collaborative partnerships.
