The Learmonth Hotel is a 64 Bedroom hotel in the West End of Edinburgh, very close to the Stockbridge area.

The Hotel is currently operating under a private contract and is closed to the public however, work has begun on the refurbishment of our Hotel as we look to re-open as The Learmonth Hotel, a member of Radisson Individuals.

Our Kitchen Porters provide vital assistance to our Chefs and Guest Service Team, ensuring that operations are smooth. They also play a key role in maintaining high standards of hygiene.

As part of the role, our Kitchen Porters are required to:

• Thoroughly wash all Cooking Equipment and Utensils along with Crockery, Cutlery, Glassware etc.
• Load, Unload and Maintain (through regular cleaning) the Dishwasher.
• Sweep and Mop the Kitchen floor using correct Cleaning Ware and Chemicals to ensure appropriate disinfection and reduce cross contamination.
• Clean down and disinfect the cleaning station at regular intervals and at the end of your shift.
• Empty and change the waste bins and make sure that items such as Food and Recyclables are disposed of correctly.
• Assist the Chef with general and targeted kitchen cleaning as required.
• Organise shelving and storage of kitchen items.
• Assist with deliveries.
• Adhere to Food Hygiene and Handling policies at all times.

Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but this is not essential.
