Position Overview:

As a Land Surveyor with an emphasis on engineering, you will play a pivotal role in our railway construction projects, working directly with our engineering teams to ensure precise measurement and layout of land and structures.

You will utilize state-of-the-art surveying equipment and techniques to support the planning, design, and execution phases of our projects, contributing to their successful delivery on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct precise land surveys to establish property boundaries, topographic features, and elevations.
Collaborate with engineering teams to provide survey data for design and construction purposes, including site grading, earthwork calculations, and railway track alignments.
Perform construction staking and layout to guide equipment operators and ensure accurate placement of railway infrastructure elements.
Utilize advanced surveying software and equipment, such as total stations and GPS, to collect and analyze survey data.
Prepare detailed survey reports, drawings, and documentation to support project requirements and regulatory compliance.
Monitor and maintain survey equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Adhere to health and safety protocols and industry standards while working onsite, including regular night shifts as required for railway construction projects.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Land Surveyor, preferably with a focus on railway construction projects.
Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software, including total stations, GPS, and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and railway construction processes.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with project stakeholders.
Attention to detail and problemsolving abilities to resolve complex surveying challenges.
A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites, including regular night shifts for railway construction work.
