Oxford Brookes University has a vacancy for two FTE counselling posts. These are permanent appointments at the Headington site with some working from home. The post holders will be part of a motivated team of qualified and experienced therapists offering a professional, responsive and easily accessible service to students. The Counselling Service provides a varied and flexible programme of therapeutic and psychoeducation interactions to enhance the experience of students whilst at University.

You will be responsible for:

Providing face to face and online counselling to students within a brief solutionfocused therapy model
Developing and running psychoeducation workshops and/or groups
Contributing to the Service team's development of policies & practices
Conducting clinical assessments, face to face and/ or by telephone with particular reference to risk assessment and crisis management
Engaging in the identification and provision of organisational networks and structures to provide appropriate support to the student population.
Undertaking the supervision of trainee counsellors when appropriate.

You should have:

Accreditation with BACP or equivalent.
Degree or equivalent.
Counselling training to Diploma level.
Experience of working as part of a team in an organisational setting
Experience/training in shortterm counselling and risk/crisis management.
Interviews are expected to be held on 8th and 9th August 2023, via in Person or on Google Meet.
