- Support the Events Officer and the wider team to plan, organise and deliver events and activities online and in-person at different venues throughout Cornwall
- Liaise with external partners to arrange venues and services
- Maintain a rolling calendar of events and activities
- Launch events onto online ticketing platforms

- Responsible for care, preparation and packing of event equipment
- Set up event spaces with attention to detail, following layout plans
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally to an event and throughout
- Ensure the event space is kept clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout the function
- Respond promptly to attendee requests or changes during events, always with a can-do attitude
- Assist with clearing and resetting of rooms and equipment post-event
- Comply with health and safety legislation at all times
- Prepare risk assessments for events
- Gather feedback after the event to ensure we drive continuous improvement
- Create evaluation summaries post events and record data
- Support the planning and scheduling of social media posts across multiple platforms
- Assist in creating engaging content (copy, photos, video) for social media and digital channels
- Help monitor engagement and report on performance metrics using tools such as Meta Insights and Google Analytics
- Upload and update website content on WordPress
- Support the creation and delivery of email marketing campaigns
- Assist with day-to-day marketing administration including maintaining photo and illustration libraries, updating documents, and supporting the wider team
- Help coordinate photography and video shoots, attending events where needed to capture content
- Liaise with internal teams to gather stories and news for publication in the bi-annual magazine or on digital platforms
- Support the production of marketing materials, including proofing, formatting and liaising with suppliers
- Manage stock levels of marketing materials
- Prepare and fulfil mailings
- Contribute to maintaining brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications
- Provide other marketing administration support as required
- Monitor and maintain merchandise supplies
- Pack merchandise, displays, and signage for events
- Update merchandise signage and point of sale as necessary for events
- Process, package, frank, and post online orders
- Process any sales from walk-ins or phone calls
- Ensure SumUp is up-to-date with stock and pricing
- Order packaging materials for retail sales as needed
- Manage any trade sales of merchandise to local businesses, including organising delivery and issuing invoices
- Point of contact with the general public by telephone, email and via queries from the website and social media direct messaging.
- Management of incoming and outgoing correspondence (postal and electronic)
- Attendance at events and functions to represent the Trust
- Support the wider team to achieve the Trust's strategic aims
- Reporting to the Operations Manager
- Working closely with the Events Officer and Marketing and Communications Officer
- Working, as necessary, with the other members of staff and volunteers

Overview
Cornwall Heritage Trust is a charity based in Redruth with the aim of preserving and strengthening Cornwall's heritage. Over the last few years, we have undergone a period of growth and transformation as we have been focusing on our organisational resilience ahead of our 40th anniversary this year. We are looking for a well organised self-starter with a background in events and marketing and retail support to join our busy team. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills, a strong eye for detail and be a team player. A passion for Cornwall and its history goes without saying
This role is offered on an initial fixed term contract of twelve months due to the ongoing restructuring and evolution of the organisation.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Events Officer and Marketing and Communications Officer to ensure the successful roll-out and promotion of the Trust and its calendar of events, including the day-to-day management of our online shop and sales. This role may require some evening and weekend working however plenty of notice will be given.
