Crime Paralegal - Leeds
A well-established, multi-office law firm is seeking a permanent, full-time Criminal Law Paralegal to join its busy and expanding team in Leeds.
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected criminal law team within a modern, paperless working environment. Junior team members are office-based to benefit from hands-on training and support from experienced practitioners.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be currently undertaking or have completed legal studies (e.g. LPC/BPC or equivalent, SQE preparation, or relevant academic modules/experience).
Demonstrate a genuine interest in Criminal Law.
Hold Police Station Accreditation.
Possess strong organisational skills.
Be able to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high levels of client care in the management of client matters.
Provide day-to-day support to Fee Earners.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage files efficiently using a case management system, including drafting letters and legal documents.
Complete public funding applications.
Collate and redact large volumes of documentation for Court bundles where required.
Liaise with local authorities, the Police, medical professionals, Courts and external experts to obtain and manage documentation.
