Not only will you receive fully funded qualifications you will get real-world, hands-on experience of working in a aerospace business and airport environment supporting the delivery teams with a professional, safe working environment.


As a Facilities Management Supervisor, you will be expected to develop the knowledge required to manage the working environment for an organisation's employees and services within industrial and commercial buildings.


Duties of an Apprentice Facilities Management Supervisor:

  • Attend and engage with training, including exams and 1-2-1 meetings with your tutors/assessors
  • Manage your time effectively to complete all coursework, assignments and exams required to achieve the apprenticeship
  • Reflect on your own practice and experiences and take any feedback onboard
  • Take responsibility for own development of skills and knowledge
  • Facilities Management within the context of the organisation (Hard Facilities Management, Soft Facilities Management, Total or Integrated Facilities Management)
  • Management of Health and Safety in accordance with employing organisation and client/customer requirements for the facilities management service they are supervising
  • Developing relationships in the workplace with colleagues from own employing organisation and with employees of the customer/client to achieve Service level agreements
  • Develop and implement risk assessment plans in accordance with the requirements for the facilities management service they are supervising
  • Monitor the costs of the facilities management service to ensure the budget is not exceeded
  • Resolve customer service queries and issues in accordance with contractual requirements; monitor customer service issues in order to prevent reoccurrence
  • Solve day to day problems to ensure the facilities management service meets its service targets and contractual requirements
  • Manage the daytoday performance of staff and contribute to their development
The Apprenticeship


Your apprenticeship will be delivered by one of our partner training providers under the supervision of the Marshall Skills Academy.

As an Apprentice - Facilities Management Supervisor working in our property business you will be following the Level 3 Facilities Management Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard.

During this 18 month programme you will work towards achieving your apprenticeship and becoming an associate member for the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM).

There is future potential to develop and take on more senior roles as well as starting you on a pathway to become a Certified Facilities Manager by the IWFM.


You will work towards developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required through a range of on the job learning and meetings with your assessor.

Not only will you develop your technical skills you will also have the opportunity to develop the behaviours needed to set the foundation for your future career.

You will be supported every step of the way by our instructors, mentors, line managers and fellow apprentices.
