Description

We are working with our client based in Ferryhill who provide outstanding metal components and products to leading companies in the railway, automotive and aerospace industries.

We are assisting the client in the search for a Manufacturing Engineer on afull-time, permanent position.

Your role will involve studying requirements for each production process and product and determining the most efficient operations based on these requirements.

Responsibilities

Evaluating manufacturing processes based on efficiency, speed and cost
Develop and test effective automated and manual systems and design and install tooling/equipment
Optimise facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance
Organise and manage manufacturing workflows and resources whilst finding ways to reduce costs and maximise quality
Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations

Person Specification

Bachelor's degree in engineering/related field
Experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
Understanding of design and visualisation software such as CAD/CAM and Microsoft Office
Familiar with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
