Assistant Rural Surveyor
This is an opportunity to help grow the business as it expands into Scotland offering direct input into shaping the direction of travel the company is taking.
FGP are a firm of rural chartered surveyors working for developers in renewables, wind, solar, battery, telecoms, gas and electricity sectors.

Our GIS department plays a key role in delivering these outcomes.FGP work with a diverse range of clients and sectors with staff gaining a wide and knowledgeable understanding, resulting in no day at work being the same.
FGP was set up in 2006 by Claire Priestner, who brings over 25 years' of experience to the business, to act as specialist Chartered Surveyors in the utilities and infrastructure market.

Contract Type:
Full Time/ Permanent
Location:
Edinburgh
Role:
- Office & on site
- Working with the Directors and Surveyors in day to day operations
- Working on projects including renewables, wind, solar, battery, telecoms, gas, electricity and management of land.
- Taking part in and contributing towards FGP's sustainability and net zero carbon goals
- Contributing to the development of future revenue streams
- Attending University of Aberdeen studying MSc Land Economy
- Rural Surveying & Rural Property Management (Parttime 2 year course)
- Honours degree in line with University of Aberdeen entry requirements
- An understanding of the structured training required to achieve the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)
- Relevant work experience of the rural or energy and utility sectors desirable but not essential
- Good organisational and communication skills, selfconfidence and motivation.
- Probationer/ student Membership of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, while not essential, would also be encouraged.
- Be able to communicate effectively with a professional manner and appearance]
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake further relevant training
- Full driving licence
Remuneration Package:
- Salary £25,000 per annum
