Description

A major UK & International freight forwarder is looking for an Air Import Freight Operator to join their expanding team, you will also be trained on export and ocean freight, becoming a Multimodal Operator.

The client is looking for someone with Air Importexperience, experience of customs and a customer focused individual who is well organised, with strong attention to detail and great communication skills.

ROLE:
Air Import Operator

BASIC SALARY:
£25k to £30k plus benefots

LOCATION:
Near Manchester Airport

ROLE:

Monitor the import shipments with airlines
Collate the relevant paperwork and documentation require to process the import in to the UK
Prepare and submit an import customs entry via the Datafreight programme link to CHIEF
Arrange transport of LCL and FCL shipments with our transport team
Liaise with the UK importer all the way through to the delivery.

What are the requirements?
You will have excellent communication skills, spoken and written

Must have experience of air freight imports

CDS (Customs) knowledge and at least a good number of years within the industry

Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers

Excellent attention to detail, friendly and helpful nature

Proven ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines

Able to handle difficult situations

Proven ability to work on own initiative

Strong PC Literacy including Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Looking for a future career and progression within a growing company

An understanding of the Cargowise operating system is desirable

A genuine interest in the freight forwarding industry is preferable
