An exciting opportunity has opened up for a People (HR) Advisor to join our fantastic team at our Trentham siteShift Pattern:
Days - flexibility with core working hours can be offered
What you'll be doing
- Ensuring the provision of a highquality People (HR) service to all stakeholders in all generalist areas including resource, employee relations, learning & development and reward
- Working alongside another People Advisor and supporting the People Manager and site leadership team driving the delivery of the people agenda across the site
- Supporting the management team with ER issues and providing generalist support and advice on a variety of cases
- Proactively facilitate and champion Employee Engagement initiatives with a real focus on promoting Diversity and Inclusion across all areas of the site
- Supporting large scale change projects and maintaining excellent relationships with the on site workforce representatives
- Playing an active role in forward thinking and fast action responses to the control of absence and retention ensuring contractual KPIs are achieved and maintained
- Ensuring relevant management training is identified, sourced and delivered, promoting a culture of learning and development across the site
- Responsible for the joint line management and development of the team of 3 People Assistants
- Partnering with the Health & Safety team and supporting H&S activities to reduce lost time incidents, Riddors etc.
About you
- Must be able to demonstrate relevant People / HR experience. Ideally CIPD qualified with firsthand experience of dealing with complex ER issues
- Ability to work in a fast paced and varied environment, with experience in adapting to change based on business requirements
- Sound knowledge of employment law
- Excellent communication skills are essential
- The ability to construct detailed reports, case letters and present MI data
- Should have the ability to align the People agenda to operational requirements
- Must be flexible in terms of hours of work, with the ability to support a 24/7 operation where required
- We are open to discussions about flexible working as part of this role, and the role includes the option to work from home 1 day a week
