• Managing the workflows across our whole fleet, including allocating work, delivering instructions and monitoring drivers' progress.
• Working closely with your team members, our drivers and customers to plan routes and schedule collections, ensuring high levels of customer service are maintained.
• Ensuring all jobs are cleared down within agreed timescales to ensure prompt invoicing. Contributing to the improved efficiency of routes and being an integral part of the team to reduce running costs.
• General day to day transport administrative duties including management of costs.
• Hours: approx. 50 per week between hours of 7.30am and 5:30pm (flexible to meet business needs) + overtime every other Saturday.

• Previous experience in transport / traffic planning.
• Knowledge of Working Time Directive and Drivers' Hours rules.
• Work well in a busy and sometimes pressured environment, dealing confidently and quickly with problems as they arise and managing disruption positively.
• Accuracy is essential and you will be well organised and methodical in your work.
• Be an experienced supervisor and effective communicator with the skills needed to converse with both drivers and customers in a polite, reasonable manner.
• Have at least a basic geographical knowledge of the local area to enable effective route planning.
• Knowledge of agriculture would be a benefit but not essential.
• Be friendly, approachable and a great team player.

• Knighton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
