We plant the seed that grows the future Here at the Willow Tree Federation in Lancaster we are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support the ethos of our school and the development of our children (aged from 2-7) across both schools: Appletree Nursery School and Willow Lane Primary School.


The Role:

As a teaching assistant, you will be working 30 hours per week across both sites, but the hours at each site may differ from week to week.

You will be expected to model your knowledge and best practice to colleagues and to help ensure our children have the best start in life.

You will be working with a range of children as a key worker and a teaching assistant. This is a fixed term post until 31st August 2024 with a possibility of a permanent contract.

Essential Experience

  • Passion to deliver high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunities.
  • SEND experience.
  • A working understanding of child safeguarding.
  • Ability to develop relationships and communication with parents and carers
  • Experience of observations, assessments and planning for your key children in line with EYFS
Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working and caring for children under 5 years (preferred).
  • A willingness to undertake relevant childcare qualifications in the future (preferred).
