Customer Service Representative (Full-time 12-month contract):

With over 60 years' experience in composite bearings, our Rotherham facility provides a full service, from engineering concept to delivery of a bearing solution for specialist markets such as marine, hydro & tidal power._


We have a full time, temporary vacancy for a Customer Services Representative at our Centre of excellence site in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom.


This is a fixed term, 12-month contract and we are looking to appoint immediately.

The hours of working Monday to Thursday 8.30am until 5pm and Friday 9am until 12pm

What be you'll doing?:

Your role is essential to our organisation.

As the face of our company, you will act as an ambassador for our brand; providing product/service information, handling queries relating to orders and quotations and resolving any emerging problems that our customers might face, with accuracy and efficiency.


Typically, this will involve:

  • Supporting the information flow between Customers and Manufacturing on technical and marketing aspects.
  • Acting as a key link between Customers and Manufacturing to support demand and capacity planning.
  • Process new part orders
  • Take ownership of customers issues and follow problems effectively through to resolution.
  • Request for quote (RFQ) responses
  • Lead time enquiries
  • Early warning of late delivery
  • Work with the Planning team to ensure that orders are aligned to suit available capacity.
  • Providing accurate, valid and complete information to customers.

What we need from you?:


To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Educated to GCSE level in English and Math's (Grade C/ 4 or above) or equivalent qualification.
  • Hold a relevant and recognised professional qualification in Customer Services (desirable)
  • Have a high level of professionalism with a pleasant, positive and "peoplefirst" attitude.
  • Possess proven customer support experience, minimum of 2 years.
  • Possess strong phone contact handling skills and active listening skills.
  • Strong IT skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to define problems, collect necessary data and establish facts.
  • Be customer orientated, with the ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • Be comfortable with multitasking and prioritizing workload.
  • Be capable of managing your time effectively, whilst working in a fastpast environment.
