The main responsibility of this position will be to match children and young people with foster carers whilst complying with fostering regulations and procedures.

You will be managing a wide range of tasks including; updating systems, liaising with local authorities, placing children with foster carers (with support and guidance of the manager), providing business information, organizing meetings, taking minutes and monitoring performance, daily admin tasks and be in contact with many different social workers from different organisations.


Job role:

  • Responsible for coordinating, responding to, and managing all placement requests from local authorities and for liaison with other placement and commissioning services
  • Respond positively and professionally to referrals by Social Workers, ensuring the quality of information enables the identification of placements that meet the child's or young person's assessed needs
  • Liaise with staff and develop profiles for foster carers
  • Carry out other admin duties such as stage 1 checks, audits, and approved carer check
  • Prepare child welcome box and ensure it is received via social workers
  • Develop relationships with all LA's our client works within
  • Work with internal colleagues and external placement providers on a daily basis
  • Ensure the Children in Care placements comply with National Minimum Standards and Ofsted requirements
  • Manage, develop and maintain effective information systems, relating to children's placements, inputting all placement data on Charms and reporting on data to ensure that accurate information is available at all times
  • Keep records of all placements activity on Charms and regularly report information to the manager
  • Attend and contribute to single and multiagency meetings relating to child placement where required
  • Contribute toward the creation and maintenance of good working relationships at all levels with internal and external partner agencies
  • Developing and maintaining business relationships with Local Authorities and Social Workers
  • Actively stimulates placement referrals from Local Authorities/Trusts
  • Ensuring Placement Contracts are produced accurately and renewed where appropriate
  • Organise 4 children's events for the year.
  • Conduct all risk assessments, surveys, feedback, organisation, and requirements for the events

£30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
