This is a great opportunity to recruit a Nursing Associate to work with our well established nursing team on ward 24

We are looking for a caring and compassionate, dynamic, motivated practitioner who possesses excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, enthusiastic and keen to learn new skills.

Provide quality personalised care in accordance with agreed local and national standards

  • Take samples from patients for testing or dispatching eg: Urine, sputum, faeces, MRSA swabs, blood sugars, blood samples.
  • Taking samples from central lines.
  • Venepuncture
  • Assist patients to meet nutritional needs in line with their individual care plan.
  • Undertake clinical duties relevant to clinical area following achievement of competencies.
  • Assist to maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Undertaking assessments and completing relevant documentation
  • Assist in maintaining standards of care to improve the patient experience and outcome of care.
  • Promote equality in care and practice by recognising, respecting and meeting the needs and choices of individuals.
  • Catheterisation
  • Cannulation
  • Assisting nursing staff with blood administration


Quality care is of the highest agenda for our ward and thus concentrated efforts are ongoing to ensure a positive patient experience from admission to discharge.

The team are committed to teaching and supporting staff and are looking for these qualities in new team members.

You will work with the qualified nurses and wider MDT toprovide high standards of care to our patients.

You will be a valued member of the multi-disciplinary team and support the team with care, assessment and treatment of patients.
