Description

Full or Part-Time (0.75fte upwards)
The School is looking for a SENDCo and Head of Learning Enhancement.

Our students who have been identified with SEND make equal or better progress than those not identified with SEND.

We have a positive culture at King's where pupils identified with SEND are affirmed and able to achieve highly academically.

Our Learning Enhancement department is open to all students in the school and is needs-based, rather than diagnosis led, although the majority of students supported have been identified with a SEND.

The applicant should be a qualified teacher who has experience in working with students with SEND and a good understanding of the JCQ regulations.

A level 7 assessor's qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties and/or SEND would be an advantage.

The successful applicant may have a background in classroom teaching or in one-to-one work.

It is essential that they understand how a school operates and preferable that they are familiar with the general requirements for GCSE, IGCSE and GCE public examinations.

The post is suitable for a teacher who is a strong communicator and who combines a high level of professionalism with energy, enthusiasm and good humour.

They will exhibit patience, flexibility and tolerance, and possess very good administrative skills.

We have a fundamental belief in high quality teaching and high expectations for all children and young people.
