The Best Connection are looking for a Machine Operative for one of our clients in Chorley, Lancashire.

To help support the Production Manager and assist in their duties
Work alongside other departments to help meet objectives, targets and goals of the company
Help the company achieve and maintain it's Quality and Health & Safety policies
Ensure that customer expectations are met by producing goods to their specification
To safely use specific machinery to produce goods
To highlight any operational problems to the Production Manager
To take individual responsibility for the tasks set

Key Responsibilities:

Report to work as per the days and hours detailed
To help maintain a safe working environment
To ensure that all production machines required for any production work are set up and running correctly and to communicate any problems to supervision
To ensure that all picked components required for any production work order are on the desired quality and to communicate any problems to supervision
To report all run times for each step listening on the Bill of Materials (BOMs)
To ensure all the necessary paperwork is completed and prepared to the required standard
To help prepare and physically count inventory at Year End if required
To always observe good housekeeping
Other departmental duties when required
