Description
We are looking for a Trainee Transport Planner & Admin assistant to join our team in Maidstone.

The role will require utilising our IT systems to build and book in loads for our customers and assist the senior planners.

Other areas of the transport compliance will also be shown and taught such as Tachograph regulations. There will also be an element of yard work such as load transhipping. Forklift licence is of benefit but not essential as training can be offered

Key requirements

  • High level of customer service to book and build loads
  • Work as part of a team with our senior planners to schedule work
  • Undertake transhipping requirements
  • Data inputting into the management system
  • Assist in the high call volume dealing with member and customer queries
  • Liaise with drivers to debrief on tacho infringements and allocating work.
Key Skills

  • Understanding of Transport industry (beneficial but not essential)
  • Good IT understanding
  • Excellent Geographical knowledge of UK
  • Professional phone manner.
