We are looking to appoint two passionate Performance Coach Team Leaders to join our team based at our James Watt College, Matthew Boulton College, Sutton Coldfield Colleges.


We have two roles available one is based from our Matthew Bouton College and the other from our Sutton Coldfield College and includes coverage of our James Watt College.

We are looking for individuals who have experience of managing teams across multiple locations and are flexible to work across all our BMet colleges.


The focus of this role is to supervise a team of Performance Coaches across colleges, provide students with pastoral support on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

To proactively address instances of academic performance, low or non-attendance of vulnerable learners to improve engagement with education.

The role includes a focus on Safeguarding, the post holder will be a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and act as the main first point of contact for Safeguarding concerns raised by staff, visitors, parents/carers.

To promote the Positive Behaviour Policy and challenge behaviour which does not uphold college values.

Carry out interventions which address instances of poor behaviour by engaging with the student, parents/carers, curriculum and anyone else affected.

To actively promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across all activities. Work collaboratively with and responsively to curriculum need to manage a caseload of students.

As a member of the Student Experience directorate the post holder will work in an environment where an amount of personal decision-making and judgement is required.

The post holder must have the ability to work with a wide range of people of all ages from different backgrounds with varying needs and have the ability to respond accordingly to support those needs.

The duties and responsibilities attached to this role require a flexible approach to work, which will include occasional evenings, very occasional Saturdays or working remotely as and when it is required.
