Company and role overview
Main responsibilities
- Provide expert strategic support and business focused advice, support on operational HR issues, including the interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a fair and consistent approach
- Managing HR services related to recruitment, onboarding, induction, probation, performance management and employee relations including coaching managers and dealing with case work where necessary.
- Managing and motivating the HR Coordinator in developing a culture of continuous improvement and development so that team and individual objectives are met.
- Be the HR lead on two of the following areas: employee health and wellbeing, induction & learning, equal opportunities, data protection, mentoring, employee engagement and adhoc projects as and when required.
- HR administration including the issuing of contracts and employment documentation, payroll input, absence and attendance, leaver administration and changes to terms and conditions.
- Providing guidance on training and development for senior leaders, managers and their teams.
- Supporting the collation and reporting of employment information and statistics and the analysis
- Deputising in the absence of colleagues as required.
Requirements:
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience with evidence of continuous professional development
- Proven generalist HR experience including advising and supporting managers
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
