Description
Smith Maintenance is a leading provider of synthetic sports surface maintenance across the country.

We carry out an extensive range of maintenance procedures from weekly Drag-brushing through to Major Surface Rejuvenation treatments, to extend the life span of the sythetic surface.


We are looking for a selt-motivated and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative who can demostrate high standards of care and pride in their work.

Previous experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.

After training, the role will mainly involve lone working, but with the support from office based staff. You will be allocated your own round with regular customers, only changing for holiday/sickness cover or for major works.

You will be provided with a company van and mobile phone. Your overnight stays will be at a large hotel chain with option for breakfast, plus a night out allowance.

This role will include, but not limited to:

  • The use of ride-on machinery
  • Routine & reactive care maintenance on synthetic surfaces
  • Cleaning of hard surfaces i.e Tennis Courts & Athletics Tracks
  • General repairs
  • Operating plant and machinery
  • Good communication skills

The ideal applicant must hold the following:

  • A full UK driving license
  • A CSCS Card
  • You must be able to drive a 7.5 tonne van
You will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS Certificiate.
