Overview:

Energy Resourcing are recruiting for a Financial Controller with our innovative technology client, who provide software solutions to the manufacturing and engineering sector.

This is a permanent position based in Stockton, and is a great opportunity for a full or part-qualified CIMA finance professional with experience in managing staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the leadership team to deliver and analyse quality and accurate financial information.
Assist with driving the business to understand the information and provide performance, strategic and risk insight to the Senior Management Team.
Production of timely management information to support the board, and general decisionmaking across the business.
Review of monthly management accounts including detailed monthly P and L reviews and challenge of balance sheet reconciliations, leading to the identification of risks and opportunities.
A key player in the budgeting and forecasting process.
Accounting for customer contracts/projects to assess profitability and cash flow.
Driving consistent improvement to current processes and procedures.
Overhead and cost base analysis.
Monthend & Yearend accounting.
Cash flow forecasting.
Cashbook postings and bank reconciliation
VAT returns quarterly.
Maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers in QuickBooks
Deferred income calculations and reconciliation
Contract billing and credit control
Maintenance and processing of payroll and expenses
Reporting to external parties as required
Management accounts and commentary
Any other ad hoc financial control projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Experience working in a professional business finance environment, ideally with experience working in a SAAS business.
Highly organised, disciplined and proactive individual, with the ability and desire to lead a growing and enthusiastic team.
Excellent communication skills and confidence to explain and influence the financial management of the business.
Very strong operating knowledge of all ledgers, accounting and financial administration.
