Job Summary
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the AFJ Group has a skilled and well-trained workforce who can deliver outstanding care in accordance with our service requirements to provide the vest best, patient focused service.
The Regional Training Manager will ensure that training is undertaken by staff to meet our compliance obligations as specified by regulatory organisations including the CQC for our Private Ambulance Service and DVSA for Our Maintenance & Home to School operation.
The Regional Training Manager will work with our Compliance & Operations team on the training material, administer the training programme, deliver the training courses and help deliver and provide assurances on audits.
Key Accountabilities
- Continually develop a training programme which meets the learning and development needs of all staff.
- Deliver interactive and engaging training courses which upskill and develop our workforce.
- Maintain training records including booking staff on relevant training programmes and recording attendance.
- Maintain the records in line with CQC and DVSA requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of best practice, CQC regulations and adapt training material accordingly.
- Work closely with the Registered Manager, Compliance Manager, driving assessor and operations team to ensure that the training programme meets the needs of the organisation.
- Assess training performance and address areas for improvement.
- Support learners to achieve additional qualifications.
- Identify additional learning requirements for trainees.
- Support trainees who have difficulties with classroombased learning.
- Conduct and provide assurances on audits (Hand hygiene, spot checks, elearning, clinical supervisions, probation reviews etc.).
Ideal qualities/skills:
- 2 years training experience in patient/passenger transport or similar.
- Ability to write training programmes and training material which meet the needs of the organisation (refreshers, micro teaches, induction courses)
- PTLLS course or higher.
Required skills/abilities:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Outstanding organisational skills.
- Ability to manage your own time and competing priorities to meet demanding deadlines.
- I.T. literate (online training platforms, MS office, Mac/Microsoft).
- Ability to create and deliver reports up to Executive level.
- Support and work well with other staff/departments.
- Ability to work away from home for extended periods of time (expenses will be paid for including accommodation).
