Our client are a medium-sized independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors based in a vibrant and exciting hub in Central London.
Their client base ranges from high profile theatre, music, tv and entertainment individuals and companies to prestigious restaurant groups, luxury retailers, professional service firms, property, travel and technology businesses.
The role of the Payroll Assistant (Hybrid working)
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and eager Payroll Assistant to join our busy client payroll team. You will work closely with our client managers and clients directly.
Key responsibilities:
- You will take on a varied portfolio of clients ranging from sole Directors to multiple employee payrolls across the Music and Entertainment sector as well as a variety of other business sectors
- Liaising with client managers and clients on technical issues
- You will run the payroll service from start to finish, taking responsibility for the information coming in from the clients, preparing reports, managing new starters and leavers, HMRC submissions, issuing pay slips and offering advice along the way
- Ensuring payroll deadlines are met and payrolls delivered to a high technical standard
- Ad hoc tasks and support to Payroll Manager as required.

Experience
- Minimum of 1 year's experience running end to end payrolls
- Previous experience in payroll bureau highly desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of pension schemes including the auto enrolment process and pension submissions to various provider platforms
- Experience of running multiple payrolls to multiple deadlines throughout the month, start to finish, including RTI submissions
- Experience of PayCircle software preferable
- Knowledge of pension schemes including the auto enrolment process and pension submissions to various provider platforms
- Keen to undertake professional studies
- Previous experience in payroll bureau highly desirable
- Good IT skills, proficient in Excel
- Good knowledge of payroll legislation
- Knowledge of tax and NIC and the ability to explain changes to clients

Additional Information
- 9:30am5.30pm, Monday to Friday
- Flexible working: 3 days (+) in office, 2 days at home
