About the role:


As Outdoor Education Tutor at the School, you will be an integral part of the team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do.

You will be supporting the work of the senior leadership team to implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students, focusing on all aspects of learning outside the classroom.

You will contribute to raising standards of attainment and achievement by monitoring and supporting student progress in all aspects of their outdoor learning, including accreditation opportunities and facilitate outdoor learning experiences which engage our pupils, contribute to their health and wellbeing, and support engagement in more formal, on-site educational activities.


About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who holds at least 3 of the following professional qualifications:

  • BC Paddle sport Instructor
  • RCI Assessed
  • ERCA qualifications
- mountain leader qualification
- a nationally recognised walking/navigation qualification
- a nationally recognised mountain biking qualification
- archery GB instructor
- a recognised environmental qualification
- a recognised H&S qualification

  • Qualified to deliver DofE to at least Bronze standard.
You will have the ability to inspire confidence in staff, students and parents and ideally, you will have experience of working with a range of young people in an outdoor context

and leading outdoor activities in a residential setting.

Our client is an independent specialist day school in
Great Crosby, Liverpool, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 16.

Our school provides a safe learning environment for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (
SEMH) with associated needs including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (
ADHD),
autism (
ASC) and moderate and specific learning difficulties (LD
).

£21,559.00-£30,172.00 per year
