We are looking for a receptionist to join our busy but friendly team at Northlands Wood Surgery in Haywards Heath.

The Receptionist vacancy will include greeting patients, booking appointments, answering the phone, processing repeat prescriptions, liaising with doctors and other healthcare professionals and the scanning of post and other documentation as well as other administration tasks.

This is a busy but varied role working within a strong and supportive team.

Full training will be given but the role requires someone who is IT literate, happy to learn new software and systems, an excellent team player, empathetic and an effective communicator.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, flexible, capable and enthusiastic with experience of dealing with the general public.

Hours will be part-time with overtime shifts available for holiday cover.

Very occasional Saturday morning cover for flu vaccination clinics and the flexibility to cover staff holiday and sickness will also be required.

Experience of working within a GP practice is desirable although not essential.

We are very proud of our staff safety record through the COVID-19 pandemic and we have taken numerous steps to protect our team and patients.

We have placed perspex screens on the front reception desk and have taken steps to reduce unnecessary patient visits to the practice via the use of technology.

We expect all team members to observe social distancing, to wear PPE if required (provided) and to adopt strict infection control measures, including stringent hand hygiene - training and guidance will be provided.

Looking ahead, there may be a need to wear a face covering and you should be comfortable with this requirement.

We are a Practice that has migrated from EMIS to System One

INR Star, e-referral, Microsoft Office, NHS Mail, Docmail, Open Exeter, AccRX and eConsults

Please be aware that if you are currently a patient at Northlands Wood you will be required to register at another practice if you are offered and accept this job.
