Accounts Assistant
Salary:
Up to £30,000 per year (plus benefits)
Location:
Glasgow, Scotland
Contract Type:
Permanent / Full Time
**Rota: Monday
- Friday | Time: 9am 5pm**

Bringitinhouse are proud to be recruiting an Accounts Assistant for our innovative and established construction client in Glasgow. The established construction and home improvement specialist are a well-known national organisation in Scotland and have over 40 years of experience.
About the role
This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced and ambitious individual to support the Finance Controller and directors in the financial management of the business.
Duties and responsibilities
- Architecture for construction projects
- Supporting payroll processing
- Processing purchase invoices
- Dealing with queries from suppliers and contractors and departments
- Statement reconciliations
- Bank Reconciliations
- Keeping on top of invoicing and using Xero / QuickBooks to reconcile payments/invoices
- Making sure cash flow reports are produced.
- Work closely with operations department to allocate every single invoice to a project.
- Financial support for a group of businesses.
Essential criteria
- Accounts assistant experience.
- Proven experience as an accounts assistant within a UK Business
- Proven experience in construction is an advantage
- Excellent Microsoft skills including excel and word.
- Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage own workload, work to deadlines and work well under pressure.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience using accounts software (XERO, QuickBooks)
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes.
- Reliable, trustworthy and teamfocused.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make datadriven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Living in a commutable distance of Glasgow
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
