I have a wonderful opportunity for a recently qualified engineer / technician looking to develop their mechanical fitting & assembly skills working within the workshops of a prestigious world famous engineering company.

You will take what you have learned and be developed into a key member of the manufacturing team

Based in Peterborough, this role will best suit someone who has gained an engineering qualification and has backed this up with at least 12 months working in a manufacturing environment.

You need to be able to read and work from engineering drawings, and be able to use hand and power tools.

Also, If you have any experience of working with sheet metal/machining etc, this would be an advantage.

The role is offered on a long term contract basis paying £ FCSA Umbrella (the role is inside IR35) or £ £14.50 paye - depending on your qualifications and experience.

Essential Skills

  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Confident & comfortable working with basic workshop machinery
  • Saws, Hand Tools, Hand Held Power tools
  • Understand Quality processes & Procedures
  • Good Communicator
  • Wanting to develop & improve as a technician and learn new techniques in materials testing and analysis
  • Good Computer Literacy
This is working within the R&D Department of a local well known, well respected Engineering company. You will be working alongside fellow technicians & engineers preparing materials to be tested, then assisting in the test & helping to report/present resultsto customers/internal colleagues
