Overview:


We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference to young people's lives with the ability to view each pupil as an individual and focus on the their needs.

As a TA at Sheringham Woodfields School, you will be working under the direction of a teacher or class lead.

Within the overall ethos of the school, you will support pupils with both learning and care needs. You will be supporting individuals as well as groups of pupils. This may include more specialised support in terms of behaviour or medical needs for those pupils who require it.

Your role will be to enable access to learning for each pupil and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Work may be carried out in the classroom, in another area of the school, or off site.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
  • Provide oneonone or small group instruction to students who require additional support
  • Support students with special education needs, including those with autism or learning disabilities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Help students develop social skills and promote positive behavior
  • Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe learning environment
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of mentoring, tutoring, or special education techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively engage and interact with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team

Note:
All positions at our organisation are paid, including internship positions.


Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent


Pay:
£12.18-£12.38 per hour
