To provide a confidential medical secretary service to the Dental Specialists, enabling the delivery of an effective, efficient and timely service to our patients from their 1st consultation through to their discharge back to their own Dentists.

• Transcription/typing of clinical reports and patient correspondence with audio or voice digital dictation typing using accurate medical terminology with excellent grammar.
• Ensure prioritisation of workload to meet the deadlines and the flow of correspondence as necessary including the timely turnaround of patient letters, reports and referrals etc.
• Ensure patients' clinical records are kept up to date and available when required.
• To work with mínimal supervision on a daily basis prioritising own workload using your own initiative as to determining what is routine or urgent across the business.
• Operate in a flexible manner in order to ensure the typing team operates as efficient and effectively as possible.
• Covering colleagues when they are on annual leave or absent where reasonable.
• Act on all telephone calls received, taking messages and resolving queries as necessary.

• Good understanding and knowledge of dental or medical terminology
• Typing clinical letters in a timely manner
