We have a fantastic opportunity for a
Pre-works Coordinator to join our
Area 12
account in Wakefield.
This role will be based on-site 3 days a week at
Tingley Maintenance Compound, Dewsbury Road, Tingley, WF3 1SW.**This role is on a fixed-term contract for 6 months.
Working with National Highways, Amey provides Maintenance and Response for the network covering Yorkshire and Humberside, providing all routine and cyclic maintenance on the trunk roads and motorways.
The network spans 1,650km of motorway, 476km of trunk road (dual), 179km of trunk road (single carriageway) and 1,963 structures.
The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm on a
hybrid basis)

You will be responsible for:
- Developing and managing the cyclical maintenance programme for Area 12 annually to include a forward programme for the lifetime of the contract (8yrs), to include profiled resourcing requirements
- Tracking progress, incorporating changes and forecasting delivery dates and expenditure
- Coordinating with planners within the team to develop and manage reactive maintenance programme for Area 1
- Engaging with the Client and other key stakeholders through regular communications including weekly / monthly planning meetings and other forums
- Preparing periodic reports, statistics, and answers to enquiries concerning the programmes to include the population of monthly KPI scoring
- Ensuring high standards of programming and road space bookings are carried out to meet client and contract requirements
- Developing and improve working practices and seek innovative solution
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in a similar role within the Highways Traffic Management sector and planning duties
- Communication skills that enable influencing at all levels of the business
- Good team working skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with a breadth of customers and stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Good organizational and planning skills able to work independently and prioritise workload within busy environment,
- Analytical thinking with excellent problemsolving skills
- Commercial Awareness, Risk Management and Environmental Awareness with Personal Highways Safety
- Advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel), plus other tools/systems as defined by the project or client
