About the role

Your mission as a
Vita Mojo Chief Financial Officer is to act as a key business partner to the CEO and Board - ensuring financial data is at the core of the strategic decision making whilst focusing on commercial business partnering, value creation and investor relations.

Overall you will be supporting us to deliver our ambitious business targets for 2023 and beyond, and lead our efforts to position Vita Mojo for the next funding round to achieve our long term growth plans.

We expect the below to be the bulk of the role, but this may change over time depending on your own development needs, aspirations and the makeup of the team.


Investor Relations

  • Play a key role in setting the strategic direction of the business alongside the CEO & other members of the executive/management team
  • Manage investor/board relationships working closely alongside the CEO
  • Ownership of the financial plan and forecast model
  • Help prepare for and lead a successful exit, which may be in the form of an IPO, trade or PE sale

Transactions

  • Planning and execution of all transactions from M&A to fundraising and ultimately exit
  • Manage corporate finance, legal and other key supplier relationships
  • Integrate and potentially manage the operations of new ventures
  • Experience in setting up group structures and entities across Europe

Commercial business partner

  • Provide credible, commercial leadership as part of a strong executive team
  • Develop and challenge business performance and plans across functions and business units, ensuring ROI on internal spend and great prioritisation of company growth resources
  • Ability to understand and improve commercial agreements and confidence in negotiating supplier terms.

FP&A

  • Develop and grow the FP&A function that can support decision making across all functions of the business
  • Review performance measures that support the company's direction and ensure that all financial and nonfinancial KPI reporting and forecasting is accurate and insightful
  • Develop a strong budgeting and forecasting process to support our growth in existing markets as well as potential new market entry
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts to ensure cash flow is healthy and appropriate for our operations

Accounting, Payments, Tax & Treasury

  • Lead, develop and mentor a high quality finance team of 5 providing world class financial planning, international accounting and timely management reporting services suitable for a fastgrowing tech business
  • Manage accounting, payroll and tax management
  • Develop a strong treasury management function; ensuring budgeting and cash flow management is aligned with business growth, free cash is earning positive interest and forex risks are low
  • Ensure strong standards of financial accounting, reporting & compliance across a global business

About you

  • Prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer in a rapidly growing, wellmanaged technology company that places a strong emphasis on profitability and strategic growth.
  • The ability to foster investor relationships and maintain effective communication with Board Members and external stakeholders.
  • Played a key role in implementing transactions such as fundraising and mergers and acquisitions, with listed company experience being an added bonus.
  • Experience of crafting and refining growth strategies, establishing key performance indicators, and management of the spend to achieve the optimal business outcome.
  • Demonstrated experience in operating within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Created business models, forecasting financials, and developing longterm strategic financial planning.
  • Sufficient exposure to accounting and financial operations to effectively lead the finance team.
  • Responsible for managing service providers such as lawyers, bankers, and accountants.
