Description

We are looking for experienced Band 6 clinician to join our Core Child and Adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) teams.

The core CAMHS support the front door and interventions for children and young people.


CAMHS continue to deliver high quality specialist mental health services to children and young people up to their 18th birthday.

We offer individual, family and group interventions which may be time limited or longer-term therapies according to need.


Key elements of the job:

We are looking for a practitioner with significant senior practitioner/leadership experience within a CAMHS setting.

In all cases, you must be able to demonstrate the clinical, consultation and communication skills needed to offer an outstanding service.


  • Provide a range of specialist CAMHS assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people as well as their families/ carer's who present with emotional and mental health difficulties
  • Providing Care Coordinator responsibilities for a caseload of children and young people presenting with complex and highrisk mental health issues. There will be a specific focus upon providing specialist clinical assessment, formulation and treatment, including Self Harm assessments where the Voice of the Child is embedded within personalised care planning
  • Demonstrating a commitment to ensuring routine outcome measures are embedded within clinical practice to demonstrate clinical based improvements for children, young people and parents/carers.
We are a supportive, experienced and progressive multi-disciplinary team.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions.

Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
