Strategy Consultant - Insights, Evidence and Value


Location:
Remote UK/EU

This position is for a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave.


Position Overview


ICON's Strategy team within Insights, Evidence and Value is our consulting division specialising in innovative global access strategies to identify, capture and communicate value for companies in the biopharmaceutical arena.

We are uniquely positioned to deliver expert guidance in integrated global pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategy due to our depth of experience, integration with Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Patient Centred Outcomes, Health Technology Assessment and Value Communication teams and the active engagement of our senior leadership.


Responsibilities

  • For taking personal ownership for client delivery, assisting in business development activities, and supporting company growth initiatives
  • An active leadership role in projects and proposals including the development of project plans and the timing and quality of deliverables
  • Preparation of client material such as kickoff meetings, workshops, and presentation of results
  • Primary point of client contacts within project delivery, including leading weekly and key milestone meetings
  • Participate in the development and implementation of primary and secondary research tools, in collaboration with ICON's Medical, and Research/Analytics Teams, including, but not limited to, the creation of qualitative research discussion guides, quantitative research survey guides, and the collection and distillation of data from these tools
  • Additional work may include the creation of models for financial analysis, supportive efforts for advisory boards, and ad hoc supportive work for other practices.
  • Outputs from this work are the final deliverables to our customer base.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of 24 years in the life sciences consulting or pharma/biotech industry, with client facing and project management experience
  • Demonstrable experience in pricing, forecasting, more general commercial strategy, reimbursement policy, consulting, or related experience (strategy consulting to healthcare industry preferred)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of pricing and reimbursement content, issues, and methodologies
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Competence in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
