Accounts payable supervisor (12-month FTC)

Victor Chase Legal Recruitment are working in partnership with a Legal 500 law firm in their search for Accounts payable Manager 2 plus years' experience based in their Central London office.

The person they are looking for should be highly motivated, enthusiastic,organised, commercially aware and experienced in all aspects of high-level legal accounts work.

The Role:

The role of an Accounts Payable supervisor is to manage the day-to-day operations of the AP team ensuring work is completed and invoices/expenses paid within target time frame.

Main responsibilities include:

Supervising accounts payable team.
Reviewing & approving payment of supplier invoices.
Reviewing & approving payment of expenses.
Monitoring team inbox.
Resolving internal & external queries regarding payments.
Assisting with month end/posting journals.
Industry surveys.
Processing company credit card transactions.
Running & circulating of weekly and monthly reports.
Analysing expenditure for taxable benefits; and
Regular updates on work progress to the Office accounting & management accounting support manager

This job description encompasses the main duties of the role and is by no means exhaustive. It is anticipated that duties may vary from time to time according to the needs of the department.

Experience of legal systems is desirable. Good keyboard skills and competence in Word, Excel and Outlook are required;
They must be able to demonstrate high levels of drive, determination and focus. They must possess the ability to follow instruction and be able to work and communicate with suppliers and colleagues at all levels; and
