Printcraft manufactures over 70% of all our greetings cards retailed in our own stores nationally and internationally. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and aspiring manufacturing leader to support the Head of Manufacturing with the end to end manufacturing operation of all greeting cards and gift-wrap within the Baildon production site.

The Manufacturing Lead must be prepared to personally develop themselves in the technical aspects of the greeting card manufacturing process, with an aspiration to progress themselves further within the business.


The Manufacturing Lead will also liaise with peers at head office and the Printcraft production team to ensure all orders are manufactured and delivered on time in full.


You will be an innovative leader who will drive the team to optimise efficiencies within the production environment, ensuring all equipment, materials, processes and colleagues are set up for success.


Your leadership style will inspire and empower your team to think of the bigger picture, unlocking the innovative opportunities within the function.

The role will be key in supporting the colleagues during a significant period growth and cultural change by engaging with all colleagues at all levels.

Main Responsibilities

  • To coach, lead and inspire the manufacturing leadership team
  • Responsible for the efficiency and productivity of the Manufacturing function
  • Responsible for the outputs of the team, leading the way by setting clear objectives aligned to the strategy
  • Enable credible communication in a crossfunctional capacity
  • Responsible for compliance and safety across manufacturing
  • Be a leader that inspires and enables an inclusive culture of fairness and equality.
  • Responsible for gathering and analysing data in relation to productivity and output, in order to provide insight to the Head of Manufacturing on trends and productivity levels
  • Responsible for people related matters such as Disciplinary, Grievance, Absence Management, Development
  • Strong leadership experience, with a focus on culture
  • An enthusiastic and energetic delivery style
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A companywide outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
  • Excellent Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of analysing data and providing reports/outputs
