About Us and the Role


Warwickshire Targeted Youth Support are looking for 2 people who are already have a degree and some experience of working with young people to join us and train to be a fully qualified JNC recognised Youth Worker.

This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who really wants to do youth work and make an amazing difference to young people's lives.

Targeted Youth Support are a team of JNC qualified youth workers sitting within Children's Services. Each youth worker is involved in delivering 121 youth work, group work and detached youth work. We run from 6 youth work bases around the county. These bases include 3 vibrant and busy youth clubs. We also offer youth work support to young people that are newly arrived in the UK.


We are a valued part of a restorative Warwickshire County Council's Children's Service and have been invested and supported to grow over the last two years.

We are an evidence-based service that can prove the positive impact we make with young people. Young people are at the heart of all we do.


The post will involve working face to face as a youth worker 4 days a week with a day each week given for study and course attendance.

You will be delivering 121 youth work support, group work, street-based youth work and youth clubs. You will be given the opportunity to really grow as a professional youth worker.

This post will be for 2 years fixed term.

Following a successful interview with WCC we would then expect you to gain a place on a course we have already chosen.

This is a part time postgraduate course, and you need an undergraduate degree to gain entry as well as experience of youth work delivery or related work with young people.

All course fees for the two years will be covered by WCC TYS and will start at the end of Sept 2023.

Attendance on this course is on 1 Saturday each month and starts with a weekend at the university in September.


Please note if you haven't already got a degree and some youth work experience or related work with young people (11-19yrs), you will not be shortlisted as it is a requirement of the course.
