The role:


Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Warehouse Assistant to join our fantastic team.

As a Warehouse Assistant you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse operations under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager, enabling the department to reach its full potential.


  • Taking responsibility for outwards workstreams, to assure the effective handling and movement of stock for Customer Orders.
  • Supporting the Goods In department when needed. Receiving stock and booking in, both into warehouse and onto SAP.
  • Unloading / loading of goods to Health and safety specifications.
  • Dealing with Drivers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Rearranging warehouse space including consolidating stock.
  • Packing all orders to company and shipping standards.
  • Checking accuracy of orders picked thoroughly, before dispatching customer orders.
  • Supporting Warehouse Operatives with stock replenishment as needed.
  • Accurately completing paperwork and computer processes to ensure stock records and warehouse locations match.
  • Investigating reports of missing stock and Management Corrective Action Reports, providing evidence to the Warehouse Manager, to summarize.
  • Assisting with stock takes.
  • Upholding and maintaining the Company's Health & Safety protocols within the workplace.
  • Meeting Month End targets and making sure that all work is completed by required deadlines.
  • Working to a RAG priority system (Red, Amber, Green).
  • Heavy lifting, as this will be a requirement of the role.

What we are looking for from you:


Qualifications/education Requirements:


  • Counterbalance and Reach FLT licence
  • An excellent level of numeracy and literacy skills
  • Able to operate lifting equipment (pallet truck)

Essential Skills:


  • Previous Logistics and Warehouse Experience
  • Knowledge of logistics software or transport management systems, preferably SAP
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Salary:
£22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Poole, Dorset: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
