Job Title: 2nd Line IT Support EngineerLocation:

Salary:
£200-£220
The 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, including hardware and software
- Installing and configuring IT hardware and software
- Providing technical advice and support to users
- Ensuring the security of the IT systems and networks
- Maintaining the IT asset register and keeping up to date records of all IT assets
- Maintaining the IT helpdesk system and responding to user queries
- Carrying out system upgrades, patches and other maintenance activities
- Identifying and escalating system problems
- Liaising with external suppliers and vendors
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange
- Experience of Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN etc.)
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V etc.)
- Experience of Firewalls (Cisco, Check Point etc.)
- Knowledge of Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problemsolving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
