This post is hosted by Frimley Health Foundation trust but is a system-wide role working across the Frimley Health and Care Footprint.

The successful post holder will work as part of the Frimley Placements Team and closely with the Nurse, Midwife, and AHP teams to:


  • Work in collaboration with partner education and AHP leads to develop new processes for the expansion of placements, and the coordination, management, support, and assessment of AHP students across the Frimley Health and Care Partnership system.
  • Provide dedicated support into AHP clinical placement expansion workstreams to support practice education transformation and build a strong, sustainable AHP practice education community across the ICS.The role will explore, develop and design placement and student experience opportunities within the Private, Voluntary, and independent opportunities, looking to support students and providers alike.
This role willprovide a link between the environment and the Placements team, to manage innovative AHP placement opportunities across the system in a flexible approach, to support learners and staff within their own discipline


It will be working 0.2 FTE ( SLT, Podiatry) or 0.3 FTE (Physio, OT) of contracted hours, in the Practice Educator role seconded to the Clinical education Placements team.

The working pattern will be flexible to mirror student placement blocks and needs.

  • Engagement of all key stakeholders across health, social care, and other providers as appropriate
  • Innovation, design, and development of new student support processes that improve the student experience and increase placement capacity
  • Implementation of the new processes across all the ICS partners to support students and providers alike in dedicated AHP roles.
  • Supporting the coordination of student placements across the system, mapping opportunities and reviewing workforce needs
  • Streamlining current processes to maximise efficiency and offer effective and quality placements.
  • Working as part of the Placement Leadership team ensuring delivery of the quality, governance, performance and transformation agendas and representing at both internal and external meetings

The post holder will have the responsibility for rolling out a system of student and placement provider support across the ICS, in new and innovative areas and locations, and ways that students can gain a wider Healthcare economy experience that will make their development rounded and robust.
